Post subject: Music and Writing |

I listen to music a lot of times when I write. Listening to music gives me inspiration and motivation. I find that listening to the right type of music can often make the ideas flow much better. Do you guys listen to music when you write?
I generally like to listen to video game and movie soundtracks (music without lyrics) as they tend to be less distracting. Also, it helps me to see the action in my head a little better. But I am afraid that sometimes I'd get too caught up in the music and let the flow of the music dictate my writing rather than good writing habits. Have any of you guys experienced this?

I also tend to listen to game and movie sountracks when I write. Generally something that sets the tone of the work. Sad music for sad scenes ect. It helps me get into the right frame of mind.
*Edit* I also sometimes use pictures to help me get in the right frame of mind of what the scenery around them is like.
